Review of Rush Hour 3 (2007) by Aodhan R — 21 Mar 2015
The third instalment in the action-packed Rush Hour series, is near enough a franchise-killer, if not much worse.
Like in the previous two movies, Rush Hour 3 takes it's leading men, played by Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, to a new location abroad, where the main plot kicks in: Paris. As shown in this movie, Paris is not such a good location compared to L.A and Hong Kong in the last two movies, which were bigger locations, and suited the presence of the characters better.
Rush Hour 2 is the best in series and the first is quite good as well, but Rush Hour 3 goes to far with a poorly written screenplay, which blends in when the main plot kicks off - and there's also stereotypes, including a ridiculously annoying French taxi driver, with no character development, nor any necessity of being included in the plot.
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, give it their hardest to make the movie enjoyable and thrilling, which they do, but it's not 100% enough to overcome the movies many flaws stereotypical content.
