Review of Rush Hour 2 (2001) by Darren P — 21 Apr 2011
Most movies, following a brilliant one, seem to lose originality. The movie might have done that if not for, once again, the brilliant writers who saved the movie from a generic buddy-cop re-run into a hilarious barrel of laughs.
While the plot was relatively predictable, the fight scenes greatly improved, as did Jackie Chan's stunts. Chris Tucker even got some superior fighting skills from the previous movie. All in all, a brilliant sequel to an equally brilliant film.
