Review of Rush Hour (1998) by Ryan V — 02 May 2012
Jackie Chan is a Hong Kong cop who is chasing a criminal mastermind that kidnapped his friend's daughter. The FBI partners him with a rogue LAPD officer and professional jackass (Chris Tucker). Rush Hour, directed with sterile professionalism by Brett Ratner, is a typical buddy-cop film with exceptional stunts by Chan.
I would probably find this movie to be as entertaining as 48 Hours or Lethal Weapon, but Chris Tucker's voice just annoys the ever-loving hell out of me. Others may find something to like about this one if they feel differently.
