Rush is an exhilarating, thrill ride that director Ron Howard has crafted masterfully. The film is an adventure that hooks you in admire the world of Formula 1 racing, which Howard manages to inform and get the viewer to care about, even if you don't know or love anything about Formula 1.

He does it with the help of Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Bruhl, both of these actors perfectly portray their character with, fun, blunt and realistic authority. The film manages to balance the two characters as equals leaving the audience to decide who they favor most, the playboy, fun-loving rebel of James Hunt or the blunt, serious Nikki Lauda.

Both actors turn in fine performances and should both be considered for awards but Daniel Bruhl as the most chance of being nominated and deserves so rightly. He captures the essence of personality of Nikki Lauda perfectly and deserves to be nominated and dare I say it, win and academy award for his performance.

In terms of oscars Howard should also be considered as best director with Peter Morgan also showing he has the capability of writing an orginal screenplay about a true story that is worthy of oscar attention.

All of the great things about Rush should be recognised with at least a nomination for best Picture, even though its unlikely for Rush to win due to stiff competition. Costume and Makeup should be seen as award winning as well.

Rush is a fantastic movie to the highest calliber, its an informative, sleekly presented, character driven, refreshing story that has been told.
