Review of Running with Scissors (2006) by Mike M — 17 Aug 2008
The story is based on the (supposedly) autobiographical memoirs of Augusten Burroughs as he tells the tale of his entirely screwed up and often tragic teen years. Where the book succeeded in finding the humor in the tragedy, the movie adaptation is oddly quiet and entirely dull.
I couldn't even finish watching it. I'd say read the book instead, it's far more entertaining.
