Review of Running with Scissors (2006) by Justin N — 11 Feb 2009
I couldn't stand this movie. It was too amusing to be taken seriously but too depressing and pessimistic to really laugh at. The only moments I really liked at all were when Brian Cox said something hysterical because of his own obliviousness to his insanity: "This is my masterbatorium" and "Literally, the shit is pointing out of the pot! Towards Heaven, to God.
My turd is a direct communication from the Holy Father." The only real moment from the movie is when Agnes makes Hamburger Helper for Augusten. I'd suggest you see the movie to get that reference, but I wouldn't want to subject you to that.
