Review of Running with Scissors (2006) by Liz M — 04 Dec 2009
I have not read the book and yet I could sense that this film was too safe in many of its scenes. I wanted to believe that this whole film with its maniacal eccentric characters would actually be not-over-the-top aside from Neil Bookman whom I believe couldn't have went THAT far did actually happened in real life, but a small voice in me says no this couldn't be just it.
So now I am going to find the book and read it. I just feel that this film has missing elements and things that just don't make sense... like there is a kissing scene between 2 women and yet there is no gay kissing scenes.
..it seems more like brotherly love than a pair of lovers. So typical of Hollywood to do so...
