Review of Running Scared (1986) by Bill S — 19 Nov 2011
While not on the same level as say, Beverly Hill Cop, this movie was a pretty good example of the better buddy cop movies of the 80s. Billy Crystal and the late Gregory Hines have great chemistry and make the film work.
For me, someone who visited the Keys at least twice a year in the 80s, it reminds me that laid back paradise I loved to visit in that time period. And being a native Floridian, it was a look at why all my neighbors had chosen to leave the north to reside in paradise.
On top of that, it has some great 80s music including Michael McDonald's hit "Sweet Freedom".
