A good movie playing the cat and mouse game. Andy Lau is always one step ahead of the cop played by Lau Ching Wan. Andy is a man with a terminal illness and have only 4 weeks to live. Lau is a hostage negotiator who have excellent record.

The beginning first case he manage to fish out a cop who is actually the mastermind of a robbery. Next Andy rob a finance company but his purpose is more on playing a game with Lau. He smartly escapes the building but Lau knew he could and then later drive the cab which Andy hop on.

He threaten to shoot at passerby and escapes again. At the roadblock he sit with Yoyo Mung pretending as a couple. Lau is thinking hard on Andy's motive. Andy act as an old man and have a diamond dealing with Waise Lee.

He give Lau a clue to the place where the diamond is kept and its a company in the same building as the finance company. Andy let go an explosion and make the guards go after Lau. In fact Andy is luring them away so he can get in and take the diamond.

Lau manage to escaped and later both were surrounded by the baddies. They work together and escaped and Andy crash his car and Lau is unconscious while trying to take the diamond briefcase. Lau found out Andy is trying to get revenge for his father against Waise and told Lau he can nab him and get recognition.

The deal at the bowling centre has Andy disguise as a woman. Lau talk to Waise and Andy collect the money, then cmae back and accuse Lau is having a fake. In the tussle, Waise took the bag and got surrounded by the police.

Andy had sneak away just before. Next the cops had surrounded Andy and Lau drove his car going to the station and Andy pull off another trick, a bomb this time. Lau left and the bomb trigger the car to move off and Andy escapes again.

Sometimes later Lau saw Yoyo wearing the diamond necklace and she said she have not seen Andy after receiving the gift. But for certain Andy has passed away.
