Absolutely brilliant. It's moving without being sentimental, heartfelt without being melodramatic. Amazing performances from River Phoenix, Christine Lahti and Judd Hirsh - they SOLD the intricately complex family dynamics, and the blood ties that bind all of them together.
I watched this five times in three days. And it made me cry.
