The outcome of the final product is evident that Furman was indeed distracted. I did witness him in action on the island of Puerto Rico. Maybe his ego got the better of him after Lincoln Lawyer, and maybe Runner Runner will be the humbling factor.
There is a lack of conflict and direction here. The film appears to have had a last min edit to make it work. Nothing could save this movie. Don't waste your time or money. And that is from someone who saw it for free.
