Review of Runaway Train (1985) by Kevin H — 25 Mar 2009
From the opening title sequence we know we are in for a wild ride in this excellent film from director Andrei Konchalovsky and writers Eddie Bunker and Akira Kurosawa. Yes, the same Akira Kurosawa of Seven Samurai, Rashomon fame.
Jon Voight and Eric Roberts have never been better than they are in this film, and De Mornay certainly leaves her pretty girl image behind for once. Tension that you can cut with a knife and an incredible atmosphere make this a great film and well worth a watch if you can find it.
