Review of Runaway Train (1985) by Sarah C — 04 Sep 2010
Two stars as a dramatic thriller, four stars if it had been meant to be a comedy. This film epitomises everything about the exessive macho posturing of the 80s, from the risible dialogue to the homoerotic admiration the warden demonstrates concerning his most notorious inmate.
Rebecca de Mornay is unrecognisable as railroad worker Sara. Can't believe Akira Kurosawa had anything to do with this.
