I really enjoyed the chemistry between Richard Gere and Julia Roberts as well as Gere's sexy jawline and a smile that made my own own heart flutter. I wanted to leap into the screen and marry him myself.

Though we will never forget, us truly big fans of "Pretty Woman" 1990, Runaway Bride brought with it, something unique and special, It's a romance comedy that has a soft touch, yet what worried me, is the inability to sit through the part where Maggie and Gere's character decide to get married.

I'll admit it was the suspense, the not knowing what was going on, even though you pretty much got the sense when fiance number 4 storms out of the church. The feeling remained, that yes, he won, she ran again, although this time long before the actual day.

It was hard not to feel bad for Maggie at times, while my own thoughts were often about the expenses and the thousand dollar dress that she insisted must be hers. I saw the dress and kept thinking of Richard Gere's face, reading the newspaper upside down was a dead give away.

This bride wasn't going to be running for long. However my heart of course sank, when the ending we had all hoped for was not the one we were about to get. How is it that the Runaway Bride herself, ends up running after the man she left at the church? it was meant to be, yet my heart was too excited to sit through what we all knew was about to happen.

What I loved about this film, was the fact that even though we all sensed and knew Maggie was meant to marry the reporter, the writers felt it necessary to give our main characters and the audience a bit more of a chase in a wait-they-don't-get-together-just-yet sorta way.
