Review of Run Lola Run (1998) by Alex G — 15 Mar 2010
A high octane thriller that surprisingly adds character depth and an emotional love story set to the back drop of three "what if" premises about a guy in deep debt to a gangster. This is the movie that introduced Hollywood producers to Franka Potente who was subsequently cast in The Bourne Identity and the first 10 minutes of The Bourne Supremacy.
As stated before, yes it involves a love story but don't let that fool you, Its only a minor, yet cleverly added plot line in a fantastically paced and humorous action story with some cool looking German surrealism that even has trouble being defined by genre, and that's a good thing.
