Review of Run Lola Run (1998) by Matt T — 10 Dec 2010
It's very slick and engaging for the thin piece of plot it is. The fact that it just keeps going over the same turn of events in a new fashion is gimmicky, but still interesting. I think it is very much playing with the idea of chaos theory and how each action can change the course of everything.
I like the bizarre moments in this, especially the weird back stories that are told of random passerby characters. Franka Potente is amazing, it's surprising she didn't do much more after this and the first two Bourne films.
