Review of Run Lola Run (1998) by Sc S — 14 Oct 2012

I found this movie intriguing; as a novelist I was fascinated to analyse all the contingencies of the plot in the 3 scenarios the movie offers. I noticed how often a negative event brought about a positive plot-twist, and vice versa.

This film almost had the quality of a computer-game - interact with Lola, change the co-ordinates of what she does, and see how it radically shifts the outcome! Even the final moment of the movie holds open for us the question of what Lola will now do; and she has a number of alternative paths ahead of her still.

A rivetting movie which will have you discussing all the various options long after you've finished viewing the film; and also tests your powers of observation!
