Review of Run Lola Run (1998) by Edgar C — 31 Dec 2012
Philosophical alternate realities propose three possible conclusions for this non-stop, heart-racing German roller-coaster. Tykwer realizes the demands of a hard-to-please pop culture audience and creates a truly innovative and unique take on the Butterfly Effect, making Lola run endlessly at the rhythm of extraordinary trance music. The technical aspects, including the editing and the cinematography, are enormous triumphant achievements, and the screenplay has much more brilliance than the one shown barely on the surface. Franka Potente has finally found her iconic image.
97/100.
