Review of Run Fatboy Run (2007) by Josh M — 27 May 2011
It feels like I'm giving everything I see a 60% these days, but hey, a 60% indicates a good movie right? Anyway, about the movie. First off, I'd like to say that Simon Pegg has impressed me with everything I've seen him in.
He's just a naturally funny dude, and so are his companions in his films. Whether it's his friend in this movie, or Nick Frost from Hot Fuzz, they all work together. That being said, this movie WAS funny, regardless of what the Tomatometer might indicate.
Sure, it wasn't as hilarious as Shaun of the Dead, but the laughs were certainly present in this movie. With witty jokes, funny actions, and simply the presence of these lovable characters, this movie really does work, as do all of Pegg's movies.
If you love Simon Pegg like I do, I'd really suggest you see this movie for kicks and giggles. (I apologize for using that phrase, but I feel like you catch my drift).
