Review of Run All Night (2015) by Caleb C — 12 Mar 2015

Having its share of mystery and action it really did earn the title to be called Run all Night because thats what Liam Neeson and Joel Kinnaman did. .

 This is a story about a mob boss played by Ed Harris whose son gets killed by his old friend played by Liam Neeson and Liam now has to protect his own son played by Joel Kinnaman from Ed trying to get revenge for his sons death. Liam and Joel both now have to run for their lives because of them being chased by all who is under the mob bosses control. .

Liam Neeson does what he does best as an older action guy who had a dark past that he chose to keep secret by staying away from his son, while Joel Kinnaman couldnt help but stay looking confused for most of the movie and just seemed to be going along for the ride. The story was not a complex one but pretty good and so were the performances from all the actors. It was pretty interesting to see Common in this who played a relentless assassin hired by the old mob boss friend to kill off Liam and his son quickly, but of course had more trouble than he bargained for.  With all that went down it turned out to be a father son movie dealing with redemption, forgiveness and atoning for ones past crimes. This movie will not leave a long lasting impression but is an entertaining watch that you probably wont regret viewing. .
