Review of Run All Night (2015) by Steven B — 15 Mar 2015
The critics are not all being kind to this one, mostly because they didn't like Liam Neeson's other action movies. While Neeson does seem happy in the role of a +middle aged action 'hero' that does not mean this is a bad movie.
It is inordinately violent and bloody, but I liked it a lot. Great cinematography and mostly a good plot; one clunker is Common as a 'high tech' hit man. However watching Ed Harris and Neeson together was about as good as it gets.
I'm also impressed with Joel Kinnaman who is getting a lot of supporting roles, but I think is ready for a lead. As I say, violent and bloody, but still a good crime/action movie.
