The acting is strong, the cinematography is creative, and there are some great surprises in the action scenes, but I can't help but feel that I've seen it all before. It's nothing too different for Liam Neeson, though he changes his voice a bit, and the more interesting supporting characters (such as a young kid who Neeson's son is training in boxing, and a hitman played by Common), are pushed to the back in favor of generic, silly, cliche "old friends who must kill each other for no logical reason" conflict between Neeson and Ed Harris.

The editing is also hyperactive to the point of giving me a headache, and the film seems to go on for way longer than it should. It is one of Neeson's stronger films and worth seeing for action fans, but at the same time it's not too memorable.
