Review of Run All Night (2015) by William C — 29 Mar 2015
In recent years, it seems, Liam Neeson has gotten into a groove of playing basically good men with family or relationship problems who wind up in situations allowing his character to beat up/shoot/maim other guys half his age and usually in groups of five, six, or more.
However, as that niche was becoming more and more of a rut, Neeson really went against type in this film. In "Run All Night," he plays a basically BAD man with family or relationship problems who winds up in situations allowing his character to beat up/shoot/maim other guys half his age and usually in groups of five, six, or more.
Come on, Liam, you're a better actor than has been on display (and backsliding more and more) lately.
