Review of Run All Night (2015) by Jason S — 22 Dec 2015
Liam Neeson clearly feels comfortable in the niche he has carved out for himself in his career of late. Leading man of the Taken franchise, he is clearly content to fill in the gaps between these films with similarly themed action films with a troubled protagonist leading the charge.
Without ever needing to try too hard, mostly thanks to Neeson's effortless everyman sensibilities that anchor this flick, Run All Night falls right into this all-too-familiar moviemaking trope; content to offer nothing new to the genre, but strangely pulling off an entertaining guilty-pleasure experience.
