Review of Rumble in the Bronx (1995) by Sean — 28 Jul 2007
This would have been better if Jackie Chan was not involved. I expect more from Chan and aside from a fight or two this doesn't do justice to his abilities. Who's idea was it to have a hovercraft in the ending? With those complaints aside and the many more that I have not listed, let me say this: this movie is hilarious from beginning to end.
The dubbing is horrific (the wheelchair kid) in this movie and the obvious mistakes throughout (no game in the Game Gear) only lend to the hilarity of this movie. Although one of Jackie Chan's lesser movies it is still worth it if only for the fight in the gangster's place and comedy that is abundant throughout the entire feature.
And when are they ever going to change that DVD cover?
