Review of Rumble in the Bronx (1995) by Teoman P — 19 Mar 2008
This was a really non-sensical movie, but not as much as Troll 2 luckily. Not only was everybody's voice dubbed, but the lip synchronization was bad, and even the american actors were dubbed! What's the use?! The thugs and people sound really bad and fake, and have a really childish meanie voice. The ending is really abrupt and it was as if the film makers just though "Just fuck it, end the movie here, the audience will finish it as they know it themselves", not to mention the dialogs were cheesy.
But nevertheless this movie still meets expectations from a martial arts movie. The action was fun, choreographies were well thought of and applied, and Jackie Chan looked good in this one, I thought he was pretty fast actually. But I'm not a big Chan guy, so I don't really know how this movie compares with his other work, but watch this movie if you're really bored and have nothing else to do.
