Review of Rugrats Go Wild (2003) by James B — 27 Oct 2009
I wasn't the biggest fan of the Wild Thornberrys and was a huge fan of Rugrats so what happens when worlds collide?! An overall good film but not worth seeing again and again. The animation is as flawless as ever and the voice acting is better than ever (we get to hear Spike talk!!!).
The plot however is a little cliche I say little because since two cliche plots collide...well it's like multiplying a negative by a negative, you get a positive! Shipwrecked Tommy and workaholic parents Eliza make a great combo.
The way they meet is hilarious and I gotta admit the suspense at the end was killing me. It had sooo much potential to great Nickelodeon series colliding but you can tell most of the time they said "Well it's got two big names on it it'll have to make big bucks!!!" My recomendation? Buy if your a fan of either series, but if your not a fan of either of them you should just rent it.
3 "wagbbiggagagabigagagabiga" out of five. (Donny is effing hilarious.).
