Rudy is an inspirational film with an inspirational plot based on a true story and also an inspirational score. It is definitely one of the best sports films. Plot wise, Rudy is actually better than Hoosiers.
What is lacking is Rudy is the push that Hoosiers gave the audience. The film Hoosiers had greater plot development and developed it well for a whole team. This was something Rudy couldn't do. However, this film is so inspirational and memorable, its very hard to dislike this film.
