Review of Rubberface (1981) by Jonathan P — 11 May 2011
An attempted cash-in product right after "Ace Ventura" films. This is where Jim Carrey got his film start is this CBC quasi-"After School" type of movie. It is on the borderline on drama and bad one liners, which makes this film filled with very unintentional humor.
If it wasn't for Jim's natural talent for his facial expressions and quick wit for a teen, this would've been burned in the tape vault of CBC by 1996. The script is very generic and the acting is lame, but that what makes this soooooo funny.
