Review of Rubber (2010) by Scott W — 25 Nov 2014
The premise of a killer tire is a good one, and one that would make a fine movie: It's too bad then that Quentin Dupleux didn't see the film that way. Instead we get a movie about an audience, watching from the desert, as the killer tire causes havoc.
The killer tire itself is relegated to a sideplot here as Dupleux focuses mostly on the audience while the tire ends up stalking a woman for most of the movie and, in the end, not leaving even that high a body count.
I was hoping for something great like Killer Klowns, instead I got-I don't even know what. just something much less.
