Review of Rubber (1936) by Kaelin B — 16 Jul 2011
A thoroughly enjoyable and utterly original glimpse into why some things are done for absolutely "no reason." Blending outlandish plot and dark, dry humor 'Rubber' is most likely the greatest film about an inanimate serial killer I've ever seen, with the most original premise I can imagine.
Despite minor plot flaws and sometimes questionable story techniques, 'Rubber' makes sense out of the concept of never making sense, and makes it captivating at that.
