Review of Rubber (1936) by George C — 01 Apr 2012
Good for film school students but probably not gonna entertain the typical movie watching audience. I highly doubt the millions that watched Twilight is gonna like this movie. Its low budget but still to high for what this movie is trying to accomplish.
First its indie and for sure experimental and different almost the same concept as Scream where the movie is making a statement about cliche movies but this movie itself is doing plenty of it spoofing itself.
While the director is looking at why things happen in movies for no reason...an example like a villain explaining his plot for no reason just before the hero escapes.. So to drive that point into the dirt the main character is a serial killer tire.
