Review of Roxanne (1987) by Patrick P — 27 Nov 2008
I'm not a Steve Martin fan. At all. I find his middle-brow comedy labored and overbearing. "Roxanne", along with "The Man With Two Brains" is something of a gem in a trashheap of a filmography.
It's a modern version of "Cyrano de Bergerac"; an accessible, likeable little film with a solid supporting cast, including a young, beautiful Daryl Hannah.
