It's one of the better romantic comedies I've seen. Unlike current rom-coms, which unbalance the two to the point of either having absolutely no chemistry but some laughs, or having the chemistry but not the comedy.
At least Roxanne gets it right. Not only is the chemistry pretty believable, but the comedic genius of Steve Martin helps lift up this film. It's a cute story overall, though I agree that it can get a little sappy at points.
But overall, it's a great way to spend an hour. Hey, anything over Valentine's Day. That's what I'll say.
