So, I'm going to be pretty lenient with the rating and give it 2 stars, but other than that, my review won't be. When this finally premiered on TV (I believed it was Starz), I was pretty interested in checking it out.

This film reminded me of Very Bad Things with Cameron Diaz & Christian Slater, which it involved male friends having a bachelor party. Only that film was much darker. Some will also say Rough Night resembles The Hangover.

Bridesmaids & even Weekend at Bernie's. I did like those films, so I thought I would like this one, but man was I wrong on that one. Rough Night started out pretty funny but then fell flat throughout the majority of the film.

There was a few other moments that were funny, but mostly with the guy scenes. I felt that they were trying way too hard with making this movie funny like other ones similar to this. Most of the jokes are recycled from past films and just dull and bland overall.

I felt bad for Scarlett Johansson. I don't know why she decided to take this particular role, when I'm sure she could have found a few other comedies she could have taken that would be much better than this.

This movie was not for her. There is a lot of good talent in this film, but this script did not do them any justice. I felt like they couldn't have fun with this and improvise, but go along with the script 100%.

All the characters were annoying and unlikeable. I couldn't even remotely relate to this or any of the characters, and mind you iv'e done stupid shit with my friends and so on back in the day.

The most annoying of all characters was the one played by Jillian Bell. Oh damn, I wanted her to shut the hell up and go away the whole time. She was just a rude loud mouth, who still acted like a high school kid with her immature jealousy over her best friend played by ScarJo having another bff; the Aussie played by Kate McKinnon.

Like you guys were all friends in college, so you have to be 30 or close to it and still acting like that? I would have slapped her and say Get Over It. Most of Jillian Bell's dialogue was cringe-worthy at best.

She was the least unfunny in my opinion. I was almost close to stopping this movie because of her. Anyways, the characters were dumb as shit and lacked any common sense. I mean I know it is a comedy and it wouldn't be a movie if we had them not get into this stupid shit and make their stupid decisions, but come on.

There is so many other ways they could have wrote this and still be funny and great. From the fat friend stampeding onto the NON-STRIPPER & dumping his body into the ocean to the lesbian beating up the real stripper (who any smart person would know that the strip-o-gram cop was in fact a stripper, hence his shirt being unbuttoned and how he behaved.

Plus the thong he was wearing that they all saw, but had to check his penis to see if it was him based on the picture sent.) Morons. Yeah they found out later that the fake stripper they accidentally killed was a criminal wanted by the cops, but still pisses me off they got off free, since they got rid of the body and all that shit.

The film Very Bad Things made more sense than this piece of garbage. So, everytime this replays on TV, I have to change the channel ASAP, because it is that cringy & low-grade. Not even a good film to have in the background while you're doing something else.

So, if you haven't seen this, save your time and watch the plenty of other similar films that are ten times better than this.
