Review of Rough Night (2017) by Meriale M — 30 Jun 2017
Wow... that's 101 minutes of my life I'll never get back. I'm not sure what the director was thinking when she cast this piece of ridiculousness. I gave the movie 2 stars only because Kate McKennah worked her butt off trying to save a dying plotline and crappy script with her humor and wit.
I can understand Kate's reason's for taking the role being she's up and coming and well on her way to a budding career, but what was Scarlett Johnson thinking? The other 3 actresses (if you want to call them that) were more of an annoyance as if they plucked these 3 out of a lineup for a Middle School talent show.
Jillian Bell (Alice) was so annoying that I wanted to smack her in the face. Not really sure why Zoe Kravitz was even in the movie other than to add some colour and beauty to look at. Iliana Glazer? Who is this person? She was another one working on your nerves while trying to watch this ridiculous plot unfold.
Who in their right mind thought anything about this movie was funny? The only thing that is funny about it is that people actually paid good money to see this nonsense. They should at least made Scarlett's role more believable.
.. No politician in their right mind would snort coke and hide a dead body weeks before an election. Couldn't the writer come up with something better than that? I wouldn't recommend this movie to my dogs to watch.
They have better things to do, like poo on my neighbor's lawn.
