Review of Rotor (2015) by Michael W — 24 Jun 2013
This is one of the greatest unintentionally hilarious movies I've seen in a long list of horrible movies. Unlike many other positively awful films, there aren't many long periods of boring things in between the brilliantly awful moments with the exception of one extremely long car ride to work for our hero at the beginning.
This film comes complete with the pointless inclusion of a talking robot (meant for but failing miserably at wry comedy), an antagonist (a terminator machine "meant for the blood soaked streets 30 years from now") who is intended to be a future cop and after repeated gunshot wounds and physical assaults from extras, ignores them and continues to chase down a helpless woman who seems to have only committed the crime of "accessory to speeding, and our badass hero protagonist who wears a cowboy hat, has no accent, and likes to lasso tree stumps with det-chord on his farm.. oh and he carries a revolver.
There is a scene where ROTOR callously walks through several upright folding chairs without care, clearly illustrating how inhuman and unstoppable this machine is. There is another scene in which ROTOR dispatches 3 big dudes at a restaurant, the last of which being a bodybuilder who angrily removes the top half of his overalls to reveal his pecs and then flex before battle.
Do yourself a favor and find this on the internet. I believe it's free to view anywhere at this point.
