Review of Rosenwald (2015) by Joe Morgenstern for Wall Street Journal — 26 Aug 2015
The worst thing I can say about Rosenwald, a wonderful documentary by Aviva Kempner, is that it tends to ramble. I say it, though, in the spirit of the joyous New Orleans funeral march “Oh! Didn’t He Ramble.
” How could Ms. Kempner’s narrative follow anything like a straight line when her subject is so rich and varied?
