Review of Rosemary's Baby (1968) by Matt H — 15 Oct 2010
Rosemary's Baby makes every top 10 horror list I have ever seen. I finally decided to watch it and see what I thought. The movie was very good, the characters were very interesting and a lot of fun, and the cooky old neighbors were a blast to watch on screen. I don't know if I would call this a horror film, it isn't really scary at all. It is more of a thriller than anything. At first you think you know what is going on, then you question yourself, and then you are sure.
I can see how this film might frighten a pregnant woman as I can only imagine how scary it must be to be carrying another life inside you and think the world is plotting against you. So, if you haven't seen this movie I highly recommend it, but don't expect to be scared, just entertained (unless you are pregnant).
