Review of Rosemary's Baby (1968) by Pedro T — 10 Feb 2013

I recently watched this and was very disappointed. I realise the significance of this film and have tried to judge it in the context of when it was made and how fresh it would have been for its time. It was, along with Bonnie and Clyde and Easy Rider, the kick-start of a revolution in American cinema and led to arguably the greatest decade in American film history.

However I cant help but compare it to other superb films of its time like The Exorcist and The Omen. I feel this film pales badly in comparison. The dream sequence was the strongest moment in the film and it never reached this peak again throughout.
