Review of Rosemary's Baby (1968) by Sarah H — 18 May 2011
Manages to be creepy and infuriating at the same time, which is not a bad thing. Everyone is so obvious that you wonder why Rosemary doesn't question things earlier. I wish the ending had more bang, but it was one of those quiet finales that is meant to make you think and feel unsettled. After all that build-up, however, it wasn't really satisfying.
Aside from that, it is a genuinely creepy horror flick that was, I'm sure, shocking in its time with all the sexuality and satanism.
