Next to Alfred Hitchcock's 'Psycho', Roman Polanski's unnerving piece of psychological horror is the best of the genre from the 1960s. Contrary to what most believe 'The Exorcist' achieved, this is the film that truly took horror to a whole new level for Hollywood.
Much of it's intensity is thanks to committed performances from Mia Farrow, and an Oscar-winning supporting role played by Ruth Gordon ('Harold and Maude'). From an eerie dream sequence to a startling conclusion, it's easy to see why many hail 'Rosemary's Baby' as an unforgettable classic.
