Review of Rope (1948) by Joe L — 08 Dec 2008
This one is pretty slow, but really does make that classic hitchcock suspense work. It's quite amazing how the entire film was pulled off in a single room as well. It's got another brilliant performance by James Stewart and the two young students guilty of the crime play their parts perfect.
It's the perfect murder tale in among the high class elites whom you would never expect. It's got a great ending and one of better tales to come out of Hitchcock. Brings up some interesting philosophies about murder and had the perfect length.
