Review of Rope (1948) by Ash J — 11 Oct 2010
Hitchcock was quite daring to make a movie about a gay couple murdering a young boy. The film inspired by the murder of Bobby Franks, so it was pretty risky to make a movie about this when America was still affected by it,but it worked.
Dall was excellent,he was convincing in the part of a cold blood murderer. I was a little bit frustrated to see James Stewart AGAIN in another Hitchcock's film, even if I admit he's a good actor.
