Review of Rope (1948) by Dave L — 30 Nov 2010
Hitchcock called this movie "an experiment that failed" but I beg to disagree with him. I think this is a fascinating film from the master of suspense. The action takes place in one apartment centered around two men who have murdered a fellow classmate and invite dinner guests over while the body is in a trunk.
The camera is rarely cut as it weaves around the party and dinner guests. A good Hitchcock film.
