Review of Rope (1948) by Manny C — 13 Sep 2008
Alfred Hitchcock tried a little experiment in which he shot the film to make it seem as if it were all in one take. While it doesn't quite work out, sub-par Hitchcock is still better than anything else.
The story is loosely based on the Loeb and Leopold killing, which Orson Welles also explored in Compulsion. It's alright, James Stewart is at least good.
