Review of Rope (1948) by Stefan P — 12 Jun 2009
A film that benefits from not having any time gaps. The movies running time is equal to the time we get to follow this story, and it surprised me how realistic and interesting such a concept could be. You would think that it would either be boring to hear all the small talk, or unrealistic if they didn't fell out of the main subject once in a while.
I think Hitchcock combined it successfully. Great acting. I think the ending was pretty weak though, it was too long and too obvious.
