Review of Room 237 (2012) by Liam P — 24 May 2013
While mildly interesting so far, most of the opinions seem to be from deluded cinephiles who are convinced their twisted take on The Shining is true. Most seem to be very wild fancies with little to no evidence to support them.
The actual observations (chairs disappearing, typewriters changing color, etc.) are far more entertaining than the whacked-out theories behind why Kubrick did it. Add to that a really poorly cut piece of film (interviewees leaving mid-sentence to silence a crying child??) this leaves a lot to be desired.
