Review of Room 237 (2012) by Parker P — 29 Mar 2013
I don't feel like this is as much about The Shining or Stanley Kubrick is it is about people who loves movies. People who love movies so much that they have watched the same one twenty times and have now concocted crazy conspiracy theories about them.
I don't know if I buy any of these theories at all, but they were certainly entertaining and it says something about Kubrick's master of this art form that his films are complex enough that they can inspire such intellectual devotion.
This joins Heart of Darkness (about Apocalypse Now) and Overnight (about Boondock Saints) as my favorite documentary films that are about other films.
