Review of Room 237 (2012) by Dan O — 01 Apr 2013
Thirty-two years after its release, a group of (unseen) people pontificate on the secret meaning(s) behind Stanley Kubrick's horror masterpiece "The Shining." The theories range from bizarre (it's really about the Holocaust) to, well, REALLY bizarre (it's Kubrick's confession that he helped NASA fake the Apollo moon landings) - none of them are particularly plausible or feasible (although the Native American genocide one has more than a few proponents, is my understanding).
Much more interesting, however, are the segments on the continuity errors and hidden secrets plainly visible within the film; the fact that the hotel's layout is inconsistent from scene to scene is pretty wild.
Regardless, it's probably worth a look via OnDemand, but don't expect any concrete explanations, especially when it comes to that photo at the end.
